The Fredericton Area Network Volunteer Council (FANVC) is a new organization for the Fredericton area. The mission statement of this "new idea" is to provide a central presence for the Service Clubs, volunteer groups and special volunteer groups. It is an important idea, not a new idea. When this idea was  first tried, some 20 years ago, it was called the Fredericton Service Club Council. Without the power of todays Internet, at that time, it did not fly. But now with a mature Internet and well developed social media, we can provide an effective boost to increasing volunteer participation, coordination, and awareness in the greater Fredericton area.
